A Unique 1980s Australian Art Pottery Fruit Bowl, with Gumnuts motif. ($110)

Comment: We have ascribed the work to a South Australian potter, Gerry Wedd, as the bowl has an impressed flowing G.W. mark. Gerry Wedd came from a family of potters. His mother Felicity Wedd, was also a well known potter. He learned his craft from her and from further technical studies. In our research we could find no other Australian Potters who had similar marks, during the 1970s - 1990s period. Who ever the potter it is a very fine piece of Australian Art Pottery from that period.
