Olea (Cold Climate Olives)
A most versatile small to medium sized tree, which lives to 1,500 years or more. It can be safely transplanted at any age. It is suitable for open field or garden or container cultivation. Also suitable for hedging or as a windbreak tree. There are many varieties of Olive and if you are cultivating for fruit, table use or oil, it is important to choose a variety suitable for your particular region. We have around 15 varieties suitable for a cool climate. Most of our olives are Duel or Table varieties suitable for pickling. they include Azapa, Barnea,Barouni, Californian Queen, Coritana, Frantoio,Leccino, Manzanillo, Nevillino Blanco, Pendulino, Pichiline, Picual, Sevallano,and more.
We do not carry Kalamata olives as they are a warmer climate variety and will produce little fruit in our cold climate.
