A series of three books released to coincide with the Hopalong Cassidy television series of the 1950s. Hopalong Cassidy was one of the most popular American cowboy legends of the time. William Boyd turned the original Cassidy character created by Clarence Mulford in 1904 from a rude, grimy, foul-mouthed ruffian into the character Americans wanted to believe they were - the epitome of gallantry and fair play. You will not that the pictorial hard board covers present Hopalong Cassidy framed by a television set.
